 Nevisca opened her eyes as soon as the sun started to aproach in the landscape, ready to face another cold and hard day traveling through the frozen desert. She didn't feel cold at all, and suddenly she realized that it was such a nice morning. There were no traces of bad meteorological conditions, and the weather was very warm. Every single problem that has been in her mind for the last few days banished: how much she missed her family, when was she going to be free again, what is going to happend to Darion when she is released... and for the first time in forever, she was in a good mood. She couldn't hide all the happiness that invaded her when she realized that today was going to be a warm and sunny day because she could barely recall when was the last day with such lovely conditions. That feeling brought her to jump over Darion, as a little yearling playing with her friend. 
'Wake up, Sleeping Beauty! Today is such a bright day! We have to move before it's ruined by the horrible weather we had for the past months!'.

Darion felt all her weight in his back, and it hurted a little because he was not ready to support the sudden wake up with his wings folded. He got angry because he didn't know what was happening.
'Goddamn, Nevisca!!' He told her 'Get off of my back!'

'What is going on? Now you're the grumpy one?' she replied in a joyful tone, and stood up. 'Let's go! Hurry!' The mare started a high trot towards the horizont.

Darion was amazed. He didn't knew that Nevisca yet, the one that is actually happy. She took him for surprise, and he had no time to react, but now he regrets not having played back with her and just sent her away. 'Maybe next time' He though for himself, with a smile in his face, and got lost in the horizont under the sunset light following the mare's tracks. In fact, it was going to be a an amazing day for both of them.

Another horses-in-the-snow pic from me haha. At first, I was not going to include a story as I just wanted to make a picture of Darion and Nevisca happy (Yes, Darion is happy here too, it's just that he didn't realized it yet), but I don't know, it's like a tradition that these two appear with a small text in my gallery haha. I know this story is much more boring than the rest, because basically nothing happens here, but I always enjoy writting the scenes that pops up in my mind before doing the picture.
I know that Nevisca's shadow over Darion might not be correct, as the light is coming from behind them. I just don't know how to do it haha I shouldn't be painting this complicate lighthings yet, but I got carried away and wanted to give it a try. I hope next time it will look better.
Also, this background was done by me without using a photo reference, I added all the elements there. I know it's nothing very big, but for me it is because I used to be horrible at making my own backgrounds, and I'm happy with the result.

Nevisca abrió sus ojos cuando el sol comenzó a asomarse en el paisaje, lista para enfrentarse a otro día frío  y difícil atravesando el desierto congelado. Sin embargo, ella no sentía nada de frío, y de repente se dio cuenta de que era una mañana muy hermosa. No había indicios de malas condiciones meteorológicas, el clima estaba cálido y el cielo despejado. Todos y cada uno de los problemas que estaban en su mente se desvanecieron: cuándo iba a volver a ver a su familia, cuándo iba a volver a ser libre, que iba a pasar con Darion cuando ella se marchara...y por primera vez en mucho tiempo, estaba de buen humor. No podía esconder toda la felicidad que sintió cuando se dio cuenta de que iba a ser un día hermoso, soleado y cálido, porque vagamente recordaba algún día así en los últimos meses. Ese sentimiento la llevó a saltar sobre Darion, como una pequeña potra de un año jugando con sus amigos.
'Despiértate, Bello Durmiente! Hoy es un día hermoso! Tenemos que empezar a movernos antes de que el tiempo horrible que nos acompañó los últimos meses nos alcance!'

Darion sintió todo el peso de ella en su espalda, y le dolió un poco porque no estaba listo para soportarlo con las alas plegadas. Se enojó porque no sabía que estaba pasando y lo tomó por sorpresa.
'Maldición, Nevisca!!' Le dijo en un tono fuerte 'Bájate de mi espalda!!'

'Que está pasando? Ahora tu eres el malhumorado aquí??' Le dijo en un tono satírico, y se levantó. 'Vamos! Apresúrate!' La yegua empezó a trotar alto y esbeltamente hacia el horizonte.

Darion estaba atónito. Todavía no había conocido a esa Nevisca, la que era feliz. Lo agarró desprevenido y no tuvo tiempo para reaccionar, y ahora se lamenta no haberle devuelto el juego y haberla hechado. 
'Quizás la próxima' Pensó para sí mismo, con una gran sonrisa, y se perdió en el horizonte siguiendo las huellas de la yegua. En verdad iba a ser un día muy hermoso para ambos.

Otro dibujo de caballos en la nieve haha. Al principio no iba a incluir una historia porque era solamente una escena de Darion y Nevisca felices (sí, Darion está feliz también, solo que no lo sabe todavía') Pero no sé, como que se hizo costumbre que estos dos aparezcan en mi galería acompañados de algún texto. Sé que esta historia es mucho menos interesante que las demás porque básicamente no pasa nada, pero me entretiene mucho tratar de describir las escenas que pasan en mi mente cuando me imagino el momento a ilustrar. Se me hace raro escribir en español no argentino jaja.
Sé que la sombra de Nevisca sobre Darion no está bien hecha, simplemente no sé cómo se debería ver :p no debería estar pintando este tipo de dibujos complicados con la luz por detrás todavía, simplemente me dejé llevar y quería ver que salía. Espero que la próxima vez se vea mejor.
Este fondo fue hecho sin usar referencias, agregué yo todos los elementos que aparecen. Sé que no es nada groso pero para mi lo es porque antes los fondos me salían muy feos cuando los quería componer yo, y estoy muy contenta por como me quedó este.
